About Annie

Annie McRae Annie has been practising as a nutrition consultant for over 10 years having graduated from the Institute of Optimum Nutrition (ION), London with credit. She also qualified as a Home Economist at the Polytechnic of North London (now The University of North London) soon after leaving school.

Annie is well experienced in consultation work in person and on the telephone, giving advice on diet and supplements on a wide range of ailments.

Annie was brought up on a farm, providing fresh vegetables and milk, by a mother who had a talent and love for cooking. Much of this influenced her to enjoy cooking and further her skills of preparing unadulterated wholesome food from an early age.

Her approach to nutrition is holistic, meaning that good, practical nutrition affects the well being of the whole person. Particular emphasis is given to body systems that need attention and are under stress. Annie firmly believes that good nutrition is not just about healthy eating. It seeks to deal with fundamental causes of ill health by identifying possible nutritional imbalances and deficiencies. It also considers the onslaught of environmental factors and how our emotions affect our chemical balance.

As we are bombarded by many prepared food in the shops, lead extremely busy lives there is a great temptation to short change ourselves out of nutrient rich food. Annie’s quest is to help people learn about good nutrition, encourage them to prepare fresh, nourishing food (without too much time in the kitchen) so they can experience the benefits for themselves. In this way they can make lifelong improvements to their eating habits enabling them to feel well enough to live life to the full.
